About The Artist

As a 3D artist, I explore the delicate balance between comfort and discomfort, a duality that permeates our lives. My work is rooted in the understanding that while discomfort can be an unavoidable part of the human experience, learning to sit with it can foster resilience. In a world that often leaves us with little choice but to endure, my work offers me a safe space to practice this resilience. Thus allowing the option to confront challenges in a setting removed from the immediate pressures of reality.
My journey in 3D arts, with a focus in ceramics and plaster, has spanned 10 years and four pottery studios across California and Washington. This experience, coupled with my upbringing in the foster system/instability in the home, has deeply informed my artistic practice. The intersection of comfort and discomfort is a recurring theme in my work, reflecting the complexities of cultural identity and the nuanced ways in which these forces shape our lives.
Through my art, I invite viewers and students alike to explore the spaces where comfort and discomfort meet, encouraging them to sit in that and understand why that discomfort exists.
